Video Why aren’t our nuclear sirens also used for severe weather alerts?

It’s common for outdoor sirens to be used for weather emergencies, but not in Chattanooga. Sequoyah’s power plant has about 190 emergency sirens in a 10-mile radius surrounding the plant, but they have a specific job – to sound off in case of a nuclear incident.
