$2.3 million for Westside roads
A $2.3 million contract to plan and design new roads in the Westside neighborhood is up for vote. Consultants Kimley-Horn and Associates would manage the project, part of Chattanooga’s One Westside development.
The roads are meant to connect the community to the river, The Bend and downtown.
More land at Enterprise South
Council will vote on splitting the cost of purchasing 20-acres between I-75 and Enterprise South Nature Park with Hamilton County. The Cherokee Area Council of the Boy Scouts, which owns the land, would receive $525,000 as the city’s portion.
Regional Planning Commission members recommended rezoning the property to keep it as a permanent greenspace.
Grant for Coolidge Park and Brainerd Levee
Parks and Outdoors seeks to apply for a $1.8 million state grant to help pay for riverfront infrastructure at Coolidge Park and Brainerd Levee improvements.
GIS payment to Hamilton County
Council will vote on a $68,000 payment to the county for approving and recording addresses via its GIS department. The arrangement dates back to 2006, and this payment would cover costs for the current year.
