What to know about the City Council runoffs
Voters in districts 6 and 8 will choose the final makeup of Chattanooga City Council in two runoff races. Early voting is happening now.

Because no candidate received a majority of votes in the March 4 city contests, Chattanooga City Council seats for districts 6 and 8 are still up for grabs. The winner-take-all runoff election is set for April 8. Meet the two options for each district below.
Runoffs — what to know
- Only voters in districts 6 and 8 can vote in the runoffs. Check your district through this link.
- Early voting lasts through April 3 and is only available at the Hamilton County Election Commission. Election Day is April 8. Find your polling place here.

- As of March 31, 527 Chattanoogans had voted early across both runoff races. About 3,400 voters from the two districts turned out on March 4.

What’s next — inauguration day
Following the April 8 runoffs, the full City Council will officially begin a new four-year term on April 14. Mayor Tim Kelly, who also won reelection on March 4, will be sworn in as well.
