Tennessee’s school choice program became law in February and will take effect during the upcoming school year. Per the law, up to 20,000 students will receive state-funded scholarships to defray the cost of attending a private school. Students from families at any income level were eligible to apply. The application period closed on June 13.
Each scholarship is worth $7,295 and can pay for tuition, textbooks, tutoring, transportation, and more.
